RT HON LORD FOULKES OF CUMNOCK -CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES 

 

Age Scotland is the leading charity representing older people in Scotland and supporting their rights and interests.

Age Scotland has the following objectives:

  • To inspire older people by encouraging them to realise the opportunities and overcome the challenges of later life.
  • To involve older people by connecting and engaging with them through our networks, and enable them to participate in groups and their communities.
  • To empower older people by helping them obtain valuable and accessible information and advice to help them understand their rights, make informed choices and access appropriate support.
  • To influence others by promoting understanding of older people’s rights and interests, and shape and build support for reforms to the law, policy and practice.

 

Lord Foulkes was appointed Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Age Scotland in August 2016.He has previously served as Vice-Chair and is supported by the new holder of that role, Dorry McLaughlin, the Chief Executive of Viewpoint Housing .
